Welcome to Samarkand Restaurant, Minnesota's only Uzbek dining experience. Founded in 2019 by Djafar Muminov and his family, Samarkand brings the rich culinary traditions of Central Asia to the Twin Cities. Our family immigrated to the United States seeking better opportunities and eventually settled in Minnesota, inspired by the vibrant local community to share our heritage.

At Samarkand, we take pride in our homemade dishes, crafted with recipes passed down through generations. From our signature plov to our delicious samsas and tender kebabs, each dish is made with love and authenticity. Our goal is to provide an inviting atmosphere where every guest feels like family, reflecting the renowned hospitality of Uzbekistan.
